After four years, construction and commissioning of the new cement plant for Yamama Cement in the Saudi Arabian desert, 80 kilometers southeast of Riyadh, are now almost complete. Yamama Cement awarded the contracts to thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions and thyssenkrupp Saudi Arabia Contracting.

 — Eastern Province Cement said this week that it had awarded a new production line project to Sinoma CDI. The subsidiary of China-based CNBM Group and Sinoma International Engineering has picked up the contract to build a 10,000t/day plant from design to installation at the cement producer's Al Khursaniyah plant.

 — The Chinese firm's subsidiary will be in charge of relocating and reconstructing an entire production line for cement clinker with a daily production capacity of 10,000 tons. That includes dismantling the existing plant, as well as designing, building and testing the new one.

 — Hoffmann Green Cement Technologies, a leading industrial player committed to the decarbonation of the construction sector, has signed a 22-year exclusive licensing agreement with Saudi-based Shurfah Group that will see the construction of several green cement units across the kingdom.

 — Saudi Arabia: Hoffmann Green Cement Technologies has initiated construction of H-KSA 1, its first production unit in Saudi Arabia, located at Rabigh. The foundation stone was laid following a licensing agreement with Shurfah Group, which includes building four Hoffmann units under an exclusive 22-year deal.

 — Eastern Province Cement Company, Saudi Arabia announces the signing of a contract for establishing a new production line in the company's plant with a production capacity of 10,000 tons/day. The Project was awarded to Sinoma CDI, China. The value of the contract is USD 270.5 million.
