quarry dust plus lime as partial replacement of cement in concrete production in Oman

Self-compacting concrete could be produced with high fluidity and good cohesiveness, and it gets compacted by its gravitational force. This paper attempts to understand the influence of filler materials such as lime stone powder and quarry dust as a partial replacement of cement material.

 — It has been shown that increasing the proportion of quarry dust in concrete may increase its workability by as much as thirty percent for M40 grade concrete. It has been discovered that the compressive strength and split tensile strength of concrete may be enhanced by replacing cement and fine aggregate with fly ash and quarry dust …

 — Study on the Behavior of Rigid Pavement Using Quarry Dust as a Partial Replacement of Sand and Sulfonated Naphthalene Formaldehyde (SNF) as an Admixture; Self-compacting concrete produced with limestone waste

 — It was reported that quarry dust as a replacement for fine aggregate in concrete increased the strength of concrete tremendously by up to 8-20% [32]. Hamid et al. [29] highlighted that...

 — The partial replacement of cement by industrial waste such as Fly Ash (FA), Rice Husk Ash (RHA), Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBS), Silica Fume (SF), and Sugar Cane Bagasse Ash (SCBA) is reviewed.

The present paper deals with partial replacement of cement with quarry dust and metakaolin which are having silica used as admixture for making concrete. First quarry dust is made partial replacement of cement and found that 25% of partial replacement is beneficial to concrete without loss of standard strength of cement. Making 25% partial ...

 — This research was conducted to examine the potential of basaltic crusher dust as a partial replacement for Portland Pozzolana cement in hollow concrete block (HCB) production. Quarry dust is one of the waste materials abundantly available and pozzolanic material in the quarry industry.

 — Partial replacement with Ground Granulated Blast furnace Slag (GGBS), Fly Ash (PFA), Silica Fumes (SILICA) incorporates with of Quarry Dust (QD) as sand replacement. The usage of QD...

 — Experimental results show that replacement of quarry dust as partial replacement of cement in cement-sand mortar decrease the initial and final setting times of cement paste and...

The aim of experimental investigation is to replace cement with quarry dust. In this test the replacement of cement in concrete with quarry dust are 0%,10%,20%,25%,30%,40% and M30 grade concrete cubes of size 150mm×150mm×150mm were cast for finding its compressive strength.
