The calculation is designed for a geometrical design and strength check of common chain transmissions using roller chains. The application solves the following tasks. Selection of a power suitable type of chain. Selection of an optimum transmission alternative regarding power, geometry and weight.

The actual value of the designed chain is on the left. The value which is recommended for common conditions of the designed solution is on the right. A lower value than the recommended one is indicated by a red number; exceeding the critical value (=5) is indicated by a red number.
