 — Excessive wear and mechanical damage must be avoided, as downtime and reduced output quality are so costly. Regular checking and maintenance are essential to keep your crusher – and your output – in prime condition. The following tips should ensure profitable and trouble-free cone crusher operation.

 — Cone crushers are built to withstand pressures and the grind of abrasive materials, hour after hour, without flying apart or otherwise self-destructing, but a savvy operator will heed a handful of guidelines to extend the life of crusher components and produce more uniform aggregate products.

 — A rise in oil temperature and pressure in your cone crusher might be caused by clogged tubing or oil grooves, or a malfunctioning safety valve. Stop the machine, inspect and repair the clogged components, and replace the faulty safety valve.

Solution: change oil or refuel; change bearings; supply cooling water or increase the pressure of cooling water; clean the cooler. 2. Oil temperature and pressure rise. Cause: The tubing or oil groove is clogged and the safety valve is faulty. Solution: Stop the machine, check and repair.

 — Crushing with worn out oil or oil of the wrong specification can significantly reduce crusher life. Your crusher is designed to work with lube oil in the range of 10oC to 51oC. A sensor switch at the reservoir return line controls the maximum oil temperature.

 — 1. Monitoring of lube oil temperature. A lot can be learned about a cone crusher by simply watching the supply oil temperature and comparing it to the return oil temperature. Return oil temperature should be in the range of 60~140ºF (15~60ºC), although ideally in the range of 100~130ºF (38~54ºC).

Wed June 03, 2020. Aggregate Equipment Guide. In this Cone Crusher article we want to educate you about what to consider when purchasing a cone crusher. It also will inform and educate you if you are a current owner or operator of a Cone Crusher.

 — For easy of Operation & Maintenance, all Rock Crusher Lubrication System include their own monitoring devices, SIGHT GLASSES or VIEW PORTS in the reservoir for oil level, FLOW METERS in the oil lines and/ or …

 — Increase the energy efficiency and productivity of your cone crusher with maintenance. 5-15% of an aggregate producers' cost could be associated with electricity. Read how cone maintenance can bring costs down.

 — If the oil temperature in your cone crusher is too high, it could be caused by poor-quality oil, insufficient oil, damaged bearings, high ambient temperature, low cooling water pressure, or a clogged cooler.
